First to explain why I write this essay. I have been wagering on the internet or at land based casinos for a great many years. I have discovered, the addiction can take a hold of you and you won’t even notice it until you are bankrupt. Especially if you are on a winning streak. I’ve gone through countless tens of thousands of dollars in only a short period of time and to this day on occasion, I’ll go too far. It seems you’re just having fun until you start to track your loss and the guilt sets in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It never works. Then you feel sick in your gut and the more you try the faster you lose.

When you see that you are ahead, STAY on the UP! When you start to be beaten, do not say to yourself, "well perhaps one more" and again and again, believe me, this plan almost never ever functions. Say you are playing on slots, have an amount set to the side prior to starting your play. Don’t exceed that boundary, no matter how appealing. If you happen to win, put that in a different cup. Don’t spend your successes no matter what. As soon as you have gone through your original set limit, call it a day. Head out, whether it’s on the internet or at a land-based betting house, don’t stick around. Always keep in mind, there is going to be another day, a different time.

Always remember, betting should be exciting not exhausting, sickening work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan not manage the cost, don’t even begin.
